Mid-June 2009

 

With only a few weeks away from occupancy, the building process which began just more than a year ago is coming to a close. The construction team is putting some final detailed touches on the interior and exterior, and the architects are examining the building according to their drawings.

May God be glorified by the use of this building for His kingdom!

Mid-May 2009

Driving along the north side of campus, you’ll see that the stairwell with the cross center piece has been fitted with stainglass.

Other progress: the connection from the current building into the new building on the second floor is moving along quickly; the 2nd floor doorway into the balcony is in place; carpet immediately outside the worship center has begun to be laid.

Great progress is being made daily toward occupancy during the summer!! What a great blessing the Lord has provided to us!

Tour the New Building

If you missed your department’s night for Dessert Social, you are welcome to join us on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 9:00am to tour the new building and see the wonderful progress that is being made.

May 2009

Main Street

 Almost a week into May 2009, the new building is taking its shape more and more. Most of the painting is completed. The carpet and tile on the 2nd and 3rd floors are almost completed. Most of the doors for the classrooms are hung with a nice wood trim around the door frame. The north exterior of the building is looking good with covered drive and glass in the north doors.

If you have not joined us for a tour of the building, please, call the church office to sign up for one of our dessert fellowships taking place on Thursday the 6th, Friday the 7th, and Saturday the 8th.

How great is our God!!

We are continually grateful that God’s hand is on this construction project!

Many of the walls have begun to be painted. Some of the decorative light fixtures are in place. Great strides continue to be made by our diligent construction team!

May God receive all praise and honor for the growth of FBC Keller!

We have completed the displacement from the Worship Center and will resume worship in the Worship Center on Sunday, April 5, 2009.

Join us for a special Palm Sunday.
We have worship Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:30am, or 11:00am; Bible Study at 9:30am or 11:00am; a special Palm Sunday concert with Chanel Woods at 2:00pm; and a town hall meeting at 5:30pm.

The connection tunnel is coming down!

Another critical milestone has been reached this week as the new building and the old building are being connected.

Due to the connection point being the hallway / foyer area of the worship center, our worship services will be temporarily relocated into the Family Life Center. Our schedule remains the same with services on Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 AM.

Almost all of the drywall is now in place, and the finished look of the building is beginning to be realized.

Thank you for your prayers thus far; please, continue to pray for our construction team and administration as the time for occupancy draws near.

New North Parking Lot

Our construction team continues to be hard at work as much of the drywall and electrical is being completed. Glass is already in many of the windows. The awning and new foyer are well underway.

In addition to the exceptional progress being made on the new building, the new north parking lot has been poured. What a blessing this will be to as we move into the new building!

Mid-January 2009

 

North stairwell and awning

Great strides continue to be made in the progress of the new building. The building is roofed in, the front awning is being constructed, the north and east stairwells are poured, the first floor is being sheetrocked, most of the exterior glass is in place, and the list goes on. 

 

We continue to offer thanks and praise to God for His provision and protection during this process. May He be glorified by all that is accomplished.

Please, continue to pray for all of those involved as they work toward the completion of this new addition to our facility!

December 2008

 

New North View

With even more progress being made, the bricking is almost complete. The cross, as you can see, in the north stairwell is in place. The internal wall supports on both the first and second floors are nearly completed. The drywall is just around the corner.

DON’T FORGET:
There will be church-wide fellowship meal on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 during the regularly schedule fellowship meal time. This meal will take place on the construction site of our new facility. Special precautions are being made for safety. Meat, drinks and utensils will be provided. Members are asked to bring a covered side-dish to feed 8 – 10 people in a disposable pan. 
Make plans to join us on Wednesday, December 17 as we celebrate the progress of this addition to our facility!

Mid-November 2008

Going into the holidays, the building is making significant strides. Bricking has begun on the east and north walls. Much of the interior framing and HVAC is in place. Electrical is being installed. 

Plans are being made for a church-wide fellowship meal on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 during the regularly schedule fellowship meal time. This meal will take place on the construction site of our new facility. Special precautions will be made for safety. Meat, drinks and utensils will be provided. Members are asked to bring a covered side-dish to feed 8 – 10 people.
